But I AM human. I am NOT a cat. And humans were made in God's image (hint: it doesn't mean just physical). Cat's are, by definition, a natural resource.

Irrelevant. You can only know what you, yourself, feel. Your notions about why animals don't feel pain must logically include all beings other than yourself.

P.S. - Has the Rover passed anywhere near your location on the planet Mars?
