What kind of car?

Pontiac Grand Prix, 2001

Were you driver or passenger?

I was driving.

Was your side hit, or the opposite side?

The driver's side was hit. The EMS had to pull me out from the passenger side.

I was wearing a lap and shoulder belt. The airbag did not deploy bc it was a side impact.

BROKEN GLASS EVERYWHERE, at the hospital they were picking glass out my underwear. very embarrassing.

The other vehicle was pickup or SUV, slight damage to the hood and grille, the driver walked away.

OMG!

That's a miraculous moment. I'm so happy you were spared to see many more glorious days.

You are greatly admired and loved here. You should know that.

Happy Hannukah!

I'm glad you're ok, but your nerves have got to be shot. Did you see it coming?

I'm very glad the glass picking was done at the hospital and not the morgue, although that would have been less embarrassing...

A near miss can be a life changing experience, mine gave me a certain perspective and I'm a much better person for it. I hope yours is also ultimately beneficial.

I am so glad that you're fine! Take it easy awhile, and take those pain meds if you need them.

I totalled my mini-van in October. I was hit from the side, right at the driver's side front tire. My airbags did deploy. Other than breaking my glasses and throwing some dust in my eyes, we were all fine. But I did want to let everyone know that at least some side impacts can deploy the airbags.
