Ukrainian cruise missiles with a range of 3,000 kilometers and capable of carrying nuclear warheads have ended up in Iranian hands after being transported via Russia, Israels Director of Military Intelligence Major General Aharon Zeevi (Farkash) said on Tuesday.
Zeevi said that Iran had recently received 12 of the cruise missiles. 18 such missiles were transported from Ukraine to Russia, of which 12 had somehow managed to end up in Iranian hands. The other six were received by China, Haaretz.com quoted Zeevi.
The diplomatic pressure the international community has exerted on Iran had delayed the Islamic states nuclear development plan by two years, Zeevi added.
Zeevi, who was making his last appearance before the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, said that Iran was, nevertheless, determined to secretly continue its bid to develop a nuclear bomb.
He also said that today Irans nuclear aspirations constitute a real threat to western countries.
According to the military intelligence chief, there are growing fears that Palestinian terror groups would smuggle into the Gaza Strip weapons, including anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles as well as Katyusha rockets. The introduction of such weapons in the conflict would break the existing weapon-balance, Zeevi said.
Terror groups are making every effort to get such weapons into the Strip, he said, that being despite the great efforts the Palestinian and Egyptian security forces are putting into preventing it.
The Israel Defense Forces must prepare for such a possibility, he said.
Ping
Ah he$$.
3,000KM = 2,000 miles. A regime change is overdue.
What the hell is up with Russia?

So whats all the fuss, dont these people realize Iran will need the longer range missiles if it ever hopes to strike Europe, and the higher quality Russian missiles will enhance their ability to hit Israel a target most Europeans,
Russians, Chinese, American Democrats, Weak Republicans,
All of Islam, Evolutionists, Darwinists, our own State Department would like to see destroyed. Because in their
demented minds if they can erase Israels Name they can then
erase Gods name. (oh I forgot the MSM)
This will be such a shock to some here, perhaps.
Except it was Ukraine who sold them to Iran in this case, not Russia.
ping to 10..
did anyone watch lords of war??????
check it out
great near documentary movie
Aren't these things those liquid fueled relics that would only be good for copycat purposes?
I think Israel should "borrow" a couple of B-1 bombers and take them on a li'l "joyride" to Teheran...
Iran can wipe Israel off the map with their nukes, they can nuke Iraq, just to be spiteful, not to mention Saudi Arabia, destroying the oil supply and throwing the entire world back into the stone ages. They don't need to strike Europe or the US.
lords of war quoted that some 32 billion dollars of arms were stolen and resold from the ukraine alone; one of the greatest heists of the twentieth century.
President Bush's glance into Vladimir Putin's soul seems to have missed some of the darker areas therein.
You mean like Russia supplying the mad mullahs everything but the kitchen sink? Missles without warheads aren't much use. WHO is supplying Iran with the reactors and other technology it needs for the warheads?
These were not sold with the knowledge of the Russian government.
Sounds like some rogue commanders made themselves some extra money.
IMO, if we enact a regime change in Iran, it will be covertly with other nations and groups. We will never hear about it until it's over. Just my .02¢ worth.
