I have the utmost respect for Congressman Tancredo. I also love it that he won't mince words and says it like it is

I'm a big Tancredo fan and will be supporting him in 2008 (and then probably voting 3rd party conservative).

But I believe in giving credit where credit is due and I believe it was J.D Hayworth who addressed this issue with Mexico first and I also believe his words were the more eloquent. He said, "President Fox should just shut-up!"

Right you are.

GOP Congressman to Fox: 'Shut Up'
Dec 15, 2005

Fox on Wednesday called the idea of a fence "disgraceful and shameful."

U.S. Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R.-Ariz.) said Thursday that Mexican President Vicente Fox should "shut up" about his opposition to a proposed U.S.-Mexico border fence.

J.D. Hayworth:

"I'm going to step away from diplomatic rules and offer President Fox some straight talk: President Fox should shut up. He should shut up about all of this because he is only fanning the flames of poor relations between our two nations. He needs to cease and desist."

"What's disgraceful is President Fox presuming to lecture the United States on how best to protect itself against an invasion -- an invasion that has his wholehearted advocacy. . . . He needs to stop his advocacy of an invasion of his countrymen into our nation. What's shameful is that, as the president of the Republic of Mexico, he does nothing to stem this invasion. He actively endorses it."

JD is another GOPer who I'm looking forward to running for higher office. I'm pretty sure he plans on it... just not next year.
