It's worth suffering one nuked US city if we can then turn around an eliminate Islam and all its adherents in one fell swoop. They want to go nuclear? Fine by me. We have enough for every population center in the Islamic world and then some. Let them take their best - and last - shot.
Besides, if they nuke a city then the victims will be almost all Democrats - the very same folks who have been doing their damned best to make sure we are vulnerable to such an attack.

Good point. But I don't think Bush's response would be so draconian after they'd done us the "favor" of eliminating a Democratic bastion. :-0
Also, there is the issue of my job and income. I don't want to lose that to a worldwide depression. But the President has to make the decision now: will he stop Iran or not?
I hope he doesn't draw things out to get votes for the Republicans next November. If he does this, he will not be credible and he will give the enemy their bomb in the process. I have always feared that Bush is conducting this war in slow motion in order to maintain the fear factor that gets Repubs elected.
The main way in which I differ from the Libs on this in that I realize that the threat is there and just want Bush to hurry up and finish the job. I also differ with the Libs in that I recognize that new threats could emerge as well.
