I think my BS meter is being activated....Marines do not go on leave during training, no matter what time of year it is. The training cycle ends right before Christmas. Then they begin a new cycle right after the holidays....
I agree with you completely. When a person posts on FR, it isn't like they posting on a private message board.
If a person is posting on Free Republic, they should have enough respect for the site to make absolutely positive that their information is correct and that their spelling and grammar are at least pretty good. The occasional typo or poorly written sentence is to be expected...we're not writing dissertations.
If a person is aware that they don't know how to spell, they should first run a spell check, then have someone proof-read their posts prior to posting. I don't say this to be mean...it's just the way it is. My husband can't spell very well, he's dyslexic and I proofread stuff for him all the time. He's just weeks away from getting his Masters degree...so he's no moron.
Of course, I've had my times, usually in the mornings when I haven't had a cup of coffee or pealed my eyes open yet, that what I've posted appears as pure gibberish. But I only usually post that kind of thing in the Hobbit Hole, where I'm amongst understanding friends. :-)
Agreed.
People of average and above intelligence had no trouble knowing what he was trying to say.
AMEN BROTHER!!!
Welcome to Free Republic.
Do you know why I think you're a troll?
Maybe they can wave the card in the enemy's face too. I don't think Achmed will honor it. The only thing we should wave in a terrorist's face is the business end of a weapon.
You can't negotiate with cock roaches.
Or maroons, eh?
Oh yeah...and I am sure the "Get out of jail free" cards will come in real handy at SEER school. Bwaaaaaaahhhh!!
to 89 & 90 - I did NOT spell check, hehehehe.. However, I'll try to post only ONCE! in response.
Try "proctologist". He would know where to find any such card if they exist, I'm sure.
