The woman is right to not want anyone imposing their morality by shutting down private consensual clubs. But she's not right about posting a vanity that is not an article befitting the Breaking News category -(there were a couple previous threads where she could have ranted freely). And informing everyone that our morality is only relative (e.g., plenty of "decent (married) people" have sex with strangers and she's one of them), isn't much of an argument.

The argument should have been that private consensual clubs should be allowed because we aspire to be a free and open society that permits people to be holy or unholy, just as long as its voluntary. Period. And then tell us no more.

Contrary to what you would like to believe, Hildy, I am the best spokes person for myself. My "argument" IS against this TROLL and what THIS TROLL believes. My "argument" would be the same against a "longtime freeper" or a TROLL. Hildy, unlike you ... I am consistent. I find that TROLLS are the ones that typically post this manure for reaction.

Trust me ... this really doesn't bother me as much as it bothers you. What bothers YOU about ME is my disagreeing with you about ENDING someones life. You were one of the few that ADVOCATED taking the life of Terri S. in Florida. You saw that as "compassionate" to starve her to death. I saw it as pure evil. It's up to God not people. As someone pointed out, her parents (Brenda and Damon) were swingers (hopefully they learned their lesson and no longer are, but who knows anymore in this sick, twisted society of ours).

I'm a gun owner. I go to the range all the time, and meet and talk to people there. If someone I met at the range were to kidnap, rape, and kill my daughter, I wouldn't blame my participation in the range; I'd blame the soon-to-be-horribly-mutilated monster who would do such a thing.

However, you bet your life that the nation's chatterbox activist groups would scream their heads off that gun ranges should be illegal because they contribute to a "culture of violence", and would use my membership in a gun range as some kind of contributing factor to the crime. "If only that gun range didn't exist, then the victim's father would never have met the perpetrator, and his daughter would still be alive."

Well, I wouldn't necessarily meet such a monster at a sex club or a gun range. I might meet him at my grocery store. Or at my synagogue. Or he might be a co-worker. Bad people exist everywhere, and they aren't restricted in their hobbies or interests.

So, my stance on this isn't complicated. I don't care about adults hooking up with each other at sex clubs (or nightclubs, or coffee shops, or wherever). I do care about murder, especially the murder of children, doubly especially when it's coupled with kidnapping and rape. This really shouldn't be very confusing.

Well, since he did not testify at trial, we don't know for sure, but Brenda testified she was "amused" at Westerfield's mention of "adult parties" (she later denied dancing with him, before taking people back to their garage - locked from the inside - where drugs and sex led to enough inattention that her daughter was kidnapped of course). You tell me if that lifestyle is the best environment for children.

What you accuse him of is VERY common with Demoncrats. It's part of their credo. No one bats an eye when they do stuff like this ... Barney Frank, Corsine, Clinton, Kennedy, Johnson, FDR ... need I go on? It's par for the course for Demoncrats.

I'm not saying people who go to sex clubs are moral people. I'm also not saying they're inherently IMmoral just because they go to sex clubs. My point is that I really, really don't care about how they get their rocks off, and that the entire question is entirely tangential to morality.

Likewise, there's nothing inherently moral or immoral about voting GOP. (Perhaps there may be something inherently IMmoral about voting Dem, but that's a different topic). Mr. Westerfield is not an inherently good person for voting GOP, nor is he an inherently bad person for attending a sex club. He IS an inherently bad person for kidnapping, raping, and killing a seven-year-old girl. Once again, this really isn't complicated.
