We already have too many Mexican AM/FM radio stations in southern California. I've had about all of the spanish blather I can take.
Tell me again about how well the Mexicans, especially the illegals which are the majority of this blight, do so well assimilating. Another fable spread by the pro-illegal alien OBL/cheap labor lobby.
This has gotten so far out of control that licenses should be denied on the basis of failure to serve a public purpose. This is still an english speaking country.

2. Rock is dead among the under 21s.
3. Get satellite radio.
BTW: California has ALWAYS been a liberal state.

Radio's a free market, as it should be.
Yeah, learn Spanish. You'll meet some nice people.

And don't you hate it when you buy something and the instuctions come in two languages; Spanish and Chinese! Or better yet, just Spanish.

Unfortunatly, the "low rent" wing of the conservative movement doesn't really believe in the free market.

As long as this switch wasn't government-mandated, I don't have a problem with it. Vote with j00r dollars.

Same thing happened here in Dallas. 20+ year rock station KEGL (The Eagle 97.1) went from rock to mellow 70's to finally spanish format.

Calipornia's main problem is that it voted for Socialistic laws that created a HUGE welfare state that was ripe for the picking.
Ever notice how not many Texans or Floridians complain about this trend? Could it be that it is more lucrative to WORK FOR A LIVING rather than depend on social services, as is the case in Calipornia?

Yes I'm in Californico.
Are you attempting to translate California into a spanish sounding name? FYI, California already is a Spanish/Mexican name.

There was a time about 15 years ago that a station here in CT was changing from Spanish to English. The new owners of 93.7 had to "go dark" for three months in the process. That meant running nothing but the National Weather Radio Channel on the 50,000 watt signal and take a loss.
No such deal when going from English to Spanish, huh?

He'd need to aquire his first Spanish listener! Living in South Florida, that shouldn't be too hard.
