Sorry sister.
My face is redder than the Cajun beat(sic) over at the "Twist and Shout".
Have a wonderful New Year.
I wonder what she's done with the Govenor's residence.
Just to clarify -the Louisiana governor's office building was not damaged by either Hurricane Katrina or Hurricane Rita. It is located in Baton Rouge.
Plasma screen televsions increase efficiency apparently.
Dear Lord if Baton Rouge flooded we'd be royally screwed.
What absolutely infuriates me is the idiots on 870AM always talking about how our politicians suck and we need change then doing everythign they can to defend those politicians. Everyone in Louisiana agrees our politicians suck but as long as those idiots keep running interference and deflecting blame to "those politicians" we're gonna be screwed for a long time.
Just once I'd like to see someone with balls hosting 870AM to tell Blanco and Landrieu that they are the latrest incarnation of the Edwards-Landrieu machine and how can they expect to help the state when their cronies are the reason why this state is in trouble.
But never fear, 870AM is run by cowards.
The federalization wasn't out of Constiutional pride. Her incompetence at bringing in other NAtional Guardsmen from other states is why Bush tried to step in and get her to federalize.
Don't suppose you'd like to share it with us....
---I agree with you. I think she is a fat, ugly, corrupt pig who needs to quit showing the United States just how friggin ignorant and full of s**t she is because she is only embarassing herself.
her office was on the 6th floor in baton rouge it wasn't affected by the hurricane at all. It was a 100 miles from the hurricane.
She was saying other people should make cuts while she was living the high life.
Thank you for sharing! Sounds fabulous.
What the $#%& is that supposed to mean, North Dakota?
-Dan
I don't understand your post.
The state in question is Louisiana.
A state which is seriously compromised by corruption, and which is now demanding that the rest of the citizens of the United States pony up some serious dough to bring them back to better than new, after Katrina and Rita.
And the rest of us, who have to pay for this largesse, are in no hurry to give Louisiana a bunch of dough, without knowing that it won't go down a rathole.
What North Dakota has to do with that, I couldn't tell you.
I hope you get soaked.
-Dan
Really? Tell that to the people of Florida who are still living under tarps after the summer of 2004 hurricanes, that Federal largesse is handed out like candy after natural disasters.
We had hurricane Floyd here in NJ a few years ago-it took FEMA a month to show up, after Bound Brook was under water for a few weeks.
Quite frankly, we are all getting tired of hearing Gov. Blankhead and Mayor Nincompoop of New Orleans telling us that we have to fork over money to the tune of about $ 250 billion to them without independent oversight.
Hoping I get soaked doesn't change those facts.
Riiiiiiiiight....
Those of us in Louisiana who have spent our whole lives trying to get RID of these people are more tired of it than anyone. And those of us who are confronted with the human cost of Katrina and Rita every single day could care less about the "let 'em drop" philosophy that's dominated FR ever since. So you can save your snarky comments about marching in to "take back" a state you don't know anything about from officials of whom your familiarity began last September.
-Dan
What, she didn't personally hire Martha Stewart?
I assume you mean until a testeR comes out clean.
