That's interesting, Durasell. You'd think they would get the bad news sooner than the day of the event.
They don't sell enough tickets, they lose money because of the insurance etc. They sell too many tickets, they may lose money. The venue changes, the insurance changes. There are ten thousand boring details that can cancel an event.
Hmmm, was organizing it the last task for one of 'The Apprentice LA' finalists?
Well, dammit, if the authorities found out about such a plot by means of warrantless wiretaps, then the festivities should be allowed to proceed. We have our civil rights, you know. That's that!
Makes sense. I always call the fire department when a ballgame or movie I planned to attend gets delayed or cancelled.
Ping
Red Cross, that is one of the
largest scam orgs.
First time I ever heard anyone say that!
OK.. so why did people call the fire department?
>The American Red Cross is one of THE BEST out there,
Far from it.
Their blood banks collect blood in areas where they do not supply blood to hospitals so they can sell it to out of state hospitals.
When you donate to specific disaster relief, the ARC spends it as part of general revenues.
Their operating costs for their huge, plush DC headquarters are huge.
There is much more.
Do a net search for Red Cross. That should give you plenty of reasons to question the conduct of the American Red Cross.
I sure as hell would NOT insure THAT rabble. I'll bet it was a TOOKIE riot in the works.

I did a search and all I got was many addresses for Red Cross, maybe you could provide me with some addresses that put them down, all I read is good stuff.

Best humorous post (so far) of 2006.
Thanks. I've seen that scam used before. Folks were pretty stupid to turn the cash over to a fellow without even getting his name and id.
When I refer to the ARC, I speak of how they operate specifically for us military families. I guess you could say that it is a completely separate branch from their disaster relief programs.
Without emergency communications for military families, emergency financial assistance, and veterans assistance through the ARC, I dont know what our family would do. The organization has been a real life-blood for us and other military families I know personally.
In terms of disaster relief, the ARC have a questionable, and sometimes corruptible and embarrassing past, but still by far, they out-do almost all other disaster relief organizations, minus the Salvation Army. Personally, I dont trust any other two organizations on the planet. I would agree that the Salvation Army indeed has the best record.

You are correct. My problem with ARC is in the disaster area. Salvation Army has much better record.
O.K. Thanks
