When looks at how many Canadians support the Liberals, NDP, and the Greens along with the Quebec separatists, one understands just how many loopy leftists there are in our northern neighbors. I feel sorry for a once great country.

The German polling and results were very similar to what this suggests in Canada.
Liberal socialist power is waning ever so slightly in Europe and Canada.

Nationally, the NDP have the support of 18% of voters, up two points, while Green party support remains unchanged at 5%.Out of curiosity, what exactly is the difference between the NDP and the Greens? Don't they both favor the same "tax the rich, hug trees, bankrupt the country through socialism" platform?

If an election were held today, 33% of voters would cast their ballots for the Conservatives, up a percentage point from a week ago, while 32% would vote Liberal. No offense, but it sounds as if one third of you could easily tip the balance. Go forth and vote the MF's out.

This is really exciting news. Now are the Tories good guys or bad guys ?
Its amazing to me how little I actually know about Canadian politics.

Its nothing like 1984 and 1993 where one party was going to win by a landslide. If the Liberals lose, its because they're weighed down by Paul Martin, who by Canadian standards, has shown himself to be less than an inspired leader. There are still three weeks to go in this unusually long holiday campaign and anything could happen. The election on January 23 will be decided again in Ontario.

Watch out for that traditional bounce back to the Liberals whenever the Tories tie with the Liberals. About 1/3 to 1/2 of all NDP voters are soft and will switch to the Liberals just to "keep the Tories out."
Never underestimate what a socialist will do when the gravy train is threatened.

US policy toward Canada should be to promote the eventual breakup of the country. Support the independence movement in Quebec.
This would have numerous benefits. It would severely weaken the electoral strength of Canada's liberal party, and it would strengthen secessionist sentiments in the western provinces.

a Liberal official resigned after the revelation of a tasteless blog attack on NDP candidate Olivia Chow.Does anyone here know the nature of the "tasteless blog attack" on Ms. Chow? I wonder if it was some kind of racial thing. If so, we're seeing an interesting little trend on the Left of racist internet attacks (the Sambo slur against Michael Steele comes to mind).
