That's a pretty insulting attitude toward Canadian Conservatives and especially those of us on FR.

Why not hope for something more like this?

I generally have a low opinion of those Canadians who have submitted to the yoke of the Liberal Party to get all the "free" goodies, but sir, I am very supportive and respectful of your Conservative Party and hope that you are victorious this month. I'm thinking that you will be. Something positive must be brewing in voters' minds.

Well thats one tactic. The other is to espouse an anti-American message. These same tricks are done all the time, especially in Europe. No offense, but like Mark Stein, I have little hope that some actual grown ups will win in Canada.
