I predict it will be Gulliani vs Hillory.

No one else in the GOP has the star power to beat her.

Allen is just to "good ol boy" and after clintoon And George W I think the country wants a change.

And I know some one who knows Guliani...He's running.

"Giuliani/Rice"

Why would ANY self-respecting Conservative vote for a GUN-GRABBING, PRO-ABORTION, HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA pushing liberal from New York City?

If it were Leiberman vs McCain.

I vote Leiberman.

But the Dems will never nominate him.

If it's McCain/Leiberman or Leiberman/McCain?

McCain trumps everything and they don't get my vote. There is no one that is persuasive enough to make McCain palatable.

If It's McCain/Hillary?

I won't sit back and let McCain win. Yes, that means I campaign against him and if I had to suck up Hillary. I can live four years with her and have a challenge in '12. IF '12, the candidate would likely be either Blackwell from Ohio or Jeb. I could live with either.

If it's McCain vs another Dem?

I still camapign against McCain.

I hope the GOP continues to pay attention to this board because these aren't idle words. McCain will not only never get my support, activism or vote to benefit him. He'll ensure my support, activism and vote if need be are maximized to defeat him. I'm not alone. I wouldn't budge on Miers, I don't budge on the WOT, I won't be moved about McCain. And you can toss Hagel in the offing, except no one thinks he has much of a chance at this point.

I like Giuliani Rice. Then have Lieberman Sec of State. I do not want McCain in the executive branch. However, if Iran and North Korea are not dealt with by then, I may support McCain. McCain has been just as hawkish as Bush on foreign policy.

the same reason folks would support a 1st amendment , terrorist abetting Maverick or a NY Senator that has a load of FBI files and an eye for cattle future trading, perhaps.

It's early in the game, lots of substitutions are likely as the pot begins to boil.

How about McCain / Hillary on an "independent" ticket?

Its not going to happen!

All the liberal pukes that keep trying to promote McLame just as well give it up and stop wasting everyones time.

Republicans will never let that anti-gun, pro-gay, RINO anywhere near getting a nomination.

You've been here almost five years and you still haven't figured out how to quote someone properly. McCain or Giuliani would NEVER get my vote under ANY circumstance.

"And I know some one who knows Guliani...He's running."

I don't doubt he will run. I doubt he will win the GOP nomination as an abortionist, gay-right supporting, NE liberal.

Allen has executive experience (as does Barbour), and strong conservative credentials (as does Barbour).

Ex-mayors or Senators (see Mrs. clinton) do not win presidential elections, ex-governors do.

I stand by my hope---Allen/Barbour.

"Lieberman is a man of principal..."

I remember him backing as Gore's running mate when he backed away from school vouchers, which he supported before the election.

He was not a man of principle.

I understand backing away because you are the junior man on the ticket, but to go and pretend that you were never really for it, and that you really didn't have all the facts beforehand was lame. That's what he did.

"He was not a man of principle." Thank you. Regarding Lieberman, as soon as gore chose him, he reversed his stance on abortion. Then he sucked up to hollywood for the money. Principled...bullsh.. Spit

Explain to me how Rudy will get the nomination. Rudy is more liberal than McCain and McCain only got a few votes in the 2000 campaign.

I can't see any pro-abort getting the Republican nomination because the Christian base will simply ignore them.

And this does not address his pro-homosexual position.

Leiberman is a man of principle alright. Unfortunately his principles are flexible. He was quick and gushing with joy when offered the VP slot. Nominating McCain would insure a win for Hillary. Concervative Republicans have long memories of his treachery.
