Will never happen. Lieberman is a man of principal, McCain is an opportunist. They could never come together.

Lieberman already did once - with Al Gore.

Lieberman is a man of principal,

Lieberman's principals are momentary. He blows with the wind. Don't let one Iraq vote blind you to what he is. He took on Hollywood, till he became Gore's running mate, he backtracked. He was against abortion before becoming the running mate. He voted against the Patriot Act and was front and center to cheer the vote. When all is said and done, he's a Democrat.

You can't be serious. Lieberman, a man of principles? What principles?

When he ran for VP he tossed all principles aside. He is just another unprincipled politician. And a democrat to boot.

"Lieberman is a man of principal..."

I remember him backing as Gore's running mate when he backed away from school vouchers, which he supported before the election.

He was not a man of principle.

I understand backing away because you are the junior man on the ticket, but to go and pretend that you were never really for it, and that you really didn't have all the facts beforehand was lame. That's what he did.

Leiberman is a man of principle alright. Unfortunately his principles are flexible. He was quick and gushing with joy when offered the VP slot. Nominating McCain would insure a win for Hillary. Concervative Republicans have long memories of his treachery.
