> To be honest and not badmouthing this country's produce, New Zealand beef along with Australian plays second fiddle to US beef. Not as tender, and the flavour are pretty much identical, Australian and NZ beef is considered not as good as its US counterparts.

Oh it is true. On average US beef costs about 1/5 more than their NZ counterparts if you buy them from meat distributors. If a kilo of New Zealand fillet costs about HK$250, it will be over HK$300 or more for US fillet.
