Finance Minister Kristin Halvorsen urges Norwegian consumers to boycott Israeli products, NRK reports. Her Socialist Left Party will begin a solidarity campaign for Palestinians at the end of the month.

Halvorsen says a boycott will visualize the displeasure with Israel's policy towards the Palestinans. - My goal and that of the Socialist Left Party is that Norwegian consumers will avoid goods and services from Israel and make other choices in the stores, Halvorsen says to Dagbladet.

At the end of the month her party will start a solidarity campaign for Palestina. A campaihgn which receives the full support of the finance minister.

- It is a long time since I bought any Israeli products, she says.

The Norwegian government's official policy is that such a boycott is not the best method, and the initiative comes as surprise to Forerign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere.

He says that Norway will not boycott Israel financially.

- This not the Government's policy, the Norwegian Foreign Minister says to NRK Radio.

European socialists are the world's most disgusting people. In the US, we treat them as useless, but they are more dangerous than that. They are universally anti-American and they control the media and the judiciary in Europe. That's why the crazy judges charge US forces for murder for friendly fire incidents in Iraq. The US just tries to ignore them.

Norway is one of the worlds largest exporters of oil.

Ironically, one of the Norwegian oil companies just discovered oil in Iran...

no talk of any boycott of that lovely land...

Halvorsen is and has been certfiably nuts, but even neutrals are starting to realize that she and her band of loathsome socialists are unfit for government.

Well, if she does not want to buy Israeli products, she does not buy them. How to spend her money is her decision, and what would be the point of having her as a captive and unwilling customer? But then, why would she bother to honk about it? On my part, I am consciously trying to avoid French and Chinese stuff wherever possible, but do I start or join a movement to trumpet about it?

She is the minister of finance, and not your average Inga. And she is espousing policies contradictory to that of the government. With immaculate timing offcourse considering current events in Israel.

They produce lutefisk, the most disgusting edible in the world. It's obvious that prolonged consumption of this their national food has serious side effects.

They should stick to doing the Trondheim Hammer Dance.

Because of the oil it controls in the North Sea. Like the Arabs Norway matters because it's got oil. Once the Oil goes bye bye, Norway will be a rich and important as Africa is now.

They will still be rich, due to their enormous investment accounts. However, they will lose the clout if/when the oil runs out. Since I seem to recall they made a huge discovery of gas just a few months ago, that could be a very long time.

With their own Muslim problem, hopefully the Norwegian citizens will ignore or otherwise marginalize the socialists.

The Socialistic Leftist Party is not just a menace for norway, but a treat to our international relations. Together with the labour union (LO) they can do real damage with their anti-israel propaganda.
