Well, considering the context of this thread, I will stay away from said book. The only thing in life to really disturb me is things that involved children.

I've heard that Kosinski has been exposed as a complete liar and the Painted Bird is fiction. If you look him up on wikipedia they have the details. He was a good actor in Reds.
