Unfortunately, "Alan Peters" is mixing facts and educated estimates with other type of information, such as this

Back in 1991/1992 three nuclear weapon devices the Mullahs had obtained from Kazakhstan were verified on ground in Iran and intelligence further estimates that Iran has totally between eight to 12 nuclear devices from the Soviet era.

I have not seen anything on this in any verified report. Sure, you can say that I have not read all reports and that is true. However, this is information of such dignity that if it is true would have changed the behavior not only of the Iranian government but as well of other governments.

I am sorry to say that the credibility of the messenger is reduced, and similar to Chalabi, Ali, Zakeri and the like.

I would like to address the issue of the credibility of Mr. Peters.

Your initial comment was a dismissive ad hominem attack. I prefer to deal with argument.

Your second comment argues that since you haven't seen such a report, it lacks credibility.

Let me remind you of Mr. Peters background:

The name “Alan Peters” is a nom de plume for a writer who was for many years involved in intelligence and security matters in Iran. He had significant access inside Iran at high levels during the rule of the Shah, until early 1979.

As I mentioned earlier, his report is consistent with reports that many Iran experts have received. They applauded the report.

Finally, regarding your argument that the Iranian government or western governments would have behaved differently if in fact Iran has nuclear weapons assumes you know how they would react.

The timid response of the west to Iran might well prove his case.
