So the kid Christian Laetner'd him, big whoop. Players take cheap shots at each other in EVERY football game. I'm NOT condoning, but it isn't that big of a deal other than the guy's track record not being spotless.

I totally agree. I think that what actually got him dismissed was his driving violation prior to the bowl game. Stomping the player wasn't that big of a deal, but having a criminal element can scare off the mothers of recruits.
Guys like Vick have to realize that guys with a clean track record have some leeway but those that have a spotty record are under a microscope.
