To be fair, those numbers are his personal donations and those of tribal clients. His personal donations are all (R), you can see them here: http://www.capitaleye.org/abramoff_donor.asp

The question now is: did he handle the contributions from his tribal clients? If so, then yes, Dems did get money from him. If the tribes/casinos acted on their own then Howie Dean may be technically correct.

Irrelevant hair splitting. If you accept the Democrat claim that money from Abramoff is corrupting his limited personal donations are CONSIDERABLY less corrupting then the Ten of THOUSANDS of dollars his PAC shoveled out. The Democrats are basically trying to make this argument

"Yeah, I took money from the Mafia but it ONLY came from their legitimate business not from illegal drug sale profits" Sorry if the Democrats want to try and make that argument the American Voters will laugh them to scorn. IF money from Abramoff is "proof of corruption" his PERSONAL donation is NO different then his PAC donations.

Funny how it is the Republican Bush Justice Department that broke this wide open by going after and prosecuting Abramoff. Funny how all the people who want to make this a "Republican scandal" are so desperate to just skip right by that fact. Why is that?
