I'm always watching for odd rocks in the Land of Enchantment, here's another
strange rock from New Mexico. I think this is wind- and sand-polished fossilized coral but I've never seen anything quite like it.
It looks as if that rock once had a lot of lichens. Crustose lichens, when they get big, are supposedly thousands of years old.
