It has great restaurants, a few good night clubs and lots of over-educated comic book/art school geeks (my kind of folks...)

It still has all of that. Of course, it also has the additional thrill of most of the people working for the city not speaking English.

Reminds me of the time I was shopping at the Filene's out in Natick (Beautiful downtown Shoppers' World!) when I asked a saleswoman for help, she said, in perfect English I might add, "I don't speak English!" and walked off.
