Statistics from the Abortion industry
According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, in 2000, 1.31 million abortions took place in the United States. Some 52,000 of these occurred on women who were 16 to 20 weeks pregnant; some 13,000 occurred on women who were 21 weeks or more into their pregnancy. According to CDC government data, over 64,000 abortions in a year are performed on women who had had three or more previous abortions.
From 1973 through 2000, more than 39 million legal abortions occurred in our country.
Abortions are done mostly for non-medical reasons. As the abortion industry itself admits on the website of the Alan Guttmacher Institute, "On average, women give at least 3 reasons for choosing abortion: 3/4 say that having a baby would interfere with work, school or other responsibilities; about 2/3 say they cannot afford a child; and 1/2 say they do not want to be a single parent or are having problems with their husband or partner."
As the University of Detroit Law Review points out, "The Supreme Court's decisions…allowed abortion on demand throughout the entire nine months of pregnancy" (Paul B. Linton, Enforcement of State Abortion Statutes after Roe: A State-by-State Analysis, Vol. 67, Issue 2, Winter 1990).
Abortion has to end.
WHEN??????????
What can we do to stop the murders?
That ranks right up there with mass murderers Joe Stalin and Mao Tse Tung. The supreme court justices responsable for this abomination cannot possibly have souls.
Vote Republican.
Well that hasn't exactly worked out
Legalized abortion was an evil movement from its inception, so the best way to attack this horror is to PRAY. Pray, and donate money, time, or both to an anti-abortion organization, and then keep praying.
Then of course there is the vote; vote only for politicians who are anti-abortion. You can write letters-to-the-editor in you local newspapers. You can try to personally persuade any one you know considering an abortion to not go through with it. If you hear a persuasive argument against abortion then tell everyone you can about it.
Just as death is the opposite of life, abortion is the opposite of love.
Love says: "I will sacrifice myself for you".
Abortion says: "I will sacrifice you for myself".
Everybody has a soul. But those who harm children might be better off without one on the day of judgment.
Now look at us. No one is shamed for being pregnant and unmarried any more, but the feminists/Planned Parenthood/etc. have twisted the American mind to believe that abortion is just a "choice" and not an evil. Abortion is so that the people who created the pregnancy can go on "having fun" with no consequences. Millions of infertile couples long to adopt, but unwanted babies are killed instead, so that no one ever has to know, and fun and games can continue. But do they, on the soul level?
And they say that up to 30% of therapeutic abortions are requested by doctors when they discover something wrong with the baby, from serious disorders that are incompatible with life to simple, correctable birth defects. Some of these pronouncements by medical doctors have been wrong, and the parents who chose not to abort have perfectly healthy living children, so one wonders how many perfect babies were killed due to medicine.
Yet. Hang in there.
We honor those who fall in battle in defense of freedom as heroes. Those unborn infants deserve nothing less than their own freedom to live as citizens in the United States to pursue those unalienable Rights enshrined in our Declaration of Independence, Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Get behind the Constitution Party. If you want true conservatism you absolutely need to check them out and go to work for them.
I have looked at the Constitution Party website before, but I found it to be awefully critical of Pres Bush during the elections when there was absolutely no way a candidate from the Constitution party was going to roll up and defeat both Bush and Kerry. The way I saw it, all it served to do was bleed votes from Bush, the nuts are going to vote democrat (or for Nader) no matter what you say.
I will go look at it again however, I was interested in much of what they claim to stand for, but I dont see how it would become a major movement right now. Of course if enough people get ticked off at the Republicans, there may be larger numbers moving over in the future. (illegal aliens, abortion, ect...)
Placemark.
I really doubt it will end.
Whwther legal or not, abortions will not stop.
Exactly why, should someone be shamed for being pregnant and unmarried?
The resons for abortion, have been around long before anyone even thought of communism.
"What can we do to stop the murders?"
Anything and EVERYTHING possible.
