"support for deleting attachments from email messages"That alone may convince me to switch over. I have tons of emails that have attachments (in Outlook Express) that I want to keep the emails but delete the attachments (since I have the saved elsewhere anyway). It amazes me that MS never added this feature to OE.
The major thing is moving all those emails over to Thunderbird ....
Thanks for posting this.

It amazes me that MS never added this feature to OE. You're joking right? Micro$oft is so far behind in it's feature sets it is ridiculous. It is only after every other browser (or mail client) includes something that they get around to adding it.

I'm pretty sure Thunderbird has a tool to assist migrating from MS-Outlook. I've never used it though, so I'm not sure how good it is.
Folks should really get away from MS-Outlook in any case. It's a virus/worm magnet.

Roger that. I am also amazed that in the last 3 computers I've bought the spell check function in Outlook Express has been grayed out. Why would something so basic be left out? It is my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) that Bill Gates wants people to buy additional software like Office or Excel to make it work. Screw that. I downloaded a little program that works great and cost nothing.
