I really give a flying F too being correct, as a Norwegian I believe that all people have the right to protection and any person with a legit reason for coming here should get what they need to establish and prosper within.

Before everyone gets in line to slag the Norwegians let me remind you that a three man team of Norwegian saboteurs took out the German heavy water plant in Sweden.

Two of the saboteurs were killed and the third escaped an and skiied 300 km back to Norway and died in his eighties.

They killed 19 or some odd Germans during the operation.

That was new to me.....
I know that they took out a heavy water plant here in Norway, as well as sent crucial data to the allies that was an important fact for the desision to go ahead with D-Day.
The same crew also blew up a ferry that contained the remainder of the heavy water....

The great thing about these events is that WE know that it was done, so when others say that we only lasted for ten days during WWII (which is false since it was the English that lasted for ten days before they left (while advancing mind you), then we can just think...oh what litle you know, and be glad that they don't know of it cause if they had failed.....well they were FAR ahead of any other nation so it probable that we saved the world!

But there are many nations that contributed to the victory over Nazi Germany.

An ongoing phenomenon on FR when it comes to norwegian/scandinavian issues is that it always ends up with accusations of Quislings and remarks about the length of the war in Norway and the WWII effort in general. What this have in common with many immigration debates is that they are way off most off the time.

What american freppers have to realize is that norwegians and americans come from two different planets on many topics concerning conservatism, the war on terror etc.

I myself have opinions about american media (TV for morons, including FOX, except O'Reilly) american foreign politics (if there ever was one), international law (something mysterious, evil and fuzzy according to most americans) and so forth. But that doesn't make me a socialist betrayer or an anti-american. You should know that the US is mostly liked and respected by the majority of the norwegians althoug they critisize some aspects of american politics.

The important thing to remember is that althoug many american freppers' attitudes and opinions appear somewhat extreme for the occasional norwegian visitor on the forum like Xavier and myself, we come here for the same reason: we have a conservative point of view on the world, and we don't like socialists very much.

In MHO that's a good platform to work from.

Americans and europeans will never fully understand each other, but why should that be a goal? Personally I learn a lot from being on FR and reading the posts, especially about Vidkun Quisling! All the things I know about him I'm proud to say I learned on FR :)

I agree with every single word, except that I don't like socialists very much... they have many valid points and I do belive it's in the best interest of all that we help those that have fallen to get up, then they can contribute instead of leech, other then that you are dead on.
