SPACE SMUTTLE MAIN ENGINE

All SSME (Space Shuttle main engine) parameters appeared to be normal during the prelaunch countdown and compared well with prelaunch parameters that were observed on previous Challenger flights. SSME performance at start, mainstage, and shutdown looked very good. During the propellant dump, a power-loss failure on ME (main engine) 2 (Channel B) was reported. Also, a MOV (main oxidizer valve) actuator (Channel B) failure occurred on ME-3 during the propellant dump.
