A well-placed intelligence source reports that Abramoff is also linked to another Bongo cohort in Washington, DC -- a mysterious player and long time Bongo lobbyist named Joe Szlavik. Under George W. Bush, the New Jersey-based Slavik has reportedly become a "Mr. Africa" in Washington lobbying and government circles that extend into the Oval Office.

Szlavik has reportedly been fronting for Bongo for the past 6 to 8 years, his last major service to Bongo, who is both a Muslim and Freemason, painting a veneer of legitimacy to the last Gabonese presidential election, a massive fraud sold as "participatory democracy." Another knowledgeable source comfirmed that Szlavik has been a lobbyist for Bongo since at least 1992. He is also apparently very close to Bongo's eldest daughter, Pascaline who also serves as her father's principal secretary.
