The EU must not have any money invested in Iran.

This whole thing with Iran is happening faster and faster. I must admit it makes me a little uncomfortable.
Iran wants to force a limited military attack on Iran by the west.

Me too. I have to keep my emotions in check or they will run away with me. This can't continue the way it is. Something has to be done and quickly. I find myself praying for our military more than usual these days.
What, is the EU going to taunt them again? Wow, maybe they will get serious and call in the UN...
We might as well get used to a nuclear Iran and all the danger that goes with it. George Bush can't even get enough support to eavesdrop on terrorists, I'm sure he is going to go to war with Iran.
We are screwed, thank you libs.
George Bush won't give a damn about the liberals when push comes to shove and protecting us.
I know he will want too, but unless they launch on us, congress will never let it happen.
Ditto those thoughts! Someone better find the brake peddle over in Terhan.
I don't see a problem with congress. The problem lies with the senate. Bush will get the support he needs from them when the time comes.
Fanatics don't have breaks.
I don't think so, my guts tell me the American Public is on a hair trigger and will have no problem pulling it contrary to the whinning lib's in the press.
Proof is in the fact that the Left has not landed a punch on the President in almost six years.
Don't get me wrong, GWB isn't bashful.
But the EU or the UN is not going to back any kind of military action at all and Iran is too far away for Israel to strike effectively.
I do disagree about the public backing another war at this time. The Senate and Congress would not authorize it unless we were directly threatened, and it will be years before Iran has ICBMs.
I don't think it is on the President's agenda either, or instead of 160,000 troops in Iraq, we would have 460,000.
Armed conflict with Iran will have to wait until the next President. It will happen eventually though.
They don't need ICBM's to reach Israel or any of their neighbors. They've honed their Shahab 3 an advanced IRBM. Won't those reach their neighbors? How far is Israel from Iran?
Its supreme ruler, Ali Khamenei, and Defense Minister Ali Shamkhani have made statements that cannot be interpreted as other than aggressive. A model of the Shihab-3 missile whose range, coincidentally, is equal to the distance between Iran and Israel was presented in one of Irans military parades as destined for Tel Aviv.
I guess I answered my own question, huh...
There isn't any evidence that the Iranians are years-close to atomic weapons, but rather decades away from developing them. If Russia decides to give them the technology, then that is another story.
Bush doesn't need to spend what ever political capital he has left fighting Congress (Senate) over this. Should the next President be a liberal, then without a doubt Iran will re-double their efforts to develop atomic weapons. The free world will see a lot of Washington knashing of teeth, but, the Europeans are the ones to worry, as a crackpot Iranian despot can deliver a bomb to Europe, but hardly here. The US would then take out Iran of course, but the Europeans would be the ones to pay for their folly. The US doesn't need to be the world's policeman anymore, especially the way the Arabs and Europeans castigate us daily.
Yes pbrown, they can hit Israel, and it won't be long before they could hit Europe.
I just don't think we would do anything unless they threatened us directly.
Israel is estimated to have a stockpile of 50 nukes and the delivery system to get them anywhere in the Arab world. It would be a mistake for Iran to try anything with Israel, but this new President is crazy.
Please remove me from the ping list
Thank You!
