I'd hate to introduce unwilling, unsuited amateurs into a fine running professional volunteer warrior corps, but on the other hand -- every male would benefit from the experience and perhaps gain some sense of loyalty to country...

The draft is the last thing the Army wants, and Air Force guys I served with had nothing good to say about it. It is counterproductive at this point.
