This guy was my congressman when I lived in Ohio. The 18th District of Ohio has a history of corruption. Remember Wayne L. Hayes? Anyway if he's resigning his committee chairmanship he must be expecting to be indicted.

last elected at a 2-1 margin.
piling the abramof mud on him is the ONLY way he could lose an election.
i'm open to the possibility he is 'corrupt' (and thus should resign) but he was definitely at the bottom of the list of who i'd expect to be going down for this.
Just saw the announcement that Hastert has asked Ney to step down. The end is near. Clean cut, and be done with it.
