In other words require them to be credentialed, as though teaching preschool is rocket science.
... and require that they be paid at the level of public school teachers in the same county.
In other words, creating unemployment for private preschool teachers because private preschools cannot afford that kind of pay.
All in all, this is TO GET RID OF private preschools and funnel all those kids to the state preschools.
And yes, those idiotic radio commercials pushing this initiative are nauseatingly deceptive.
A little crude, but hey, sometimes ya just gots ta push the envelope.
Yup, it's all about more money for the teachers union coffers, and therefore, more power.
I started reading at three because my mother taught me ever day, and I entered kindergarten at four. Age doesn't equate with ability. Some students are just prepared to start learning earlier than others.
Hopefully John Kobylt and Ken Champou will take a stand against this.
