"I was really distressed in church this week when the pastor mentioned the "suffering of the Palestinians",..."
They can't be suffering since, like the remaining 99.99999% of humanity they're not God's "chosen people."
I am sick of hearing of the poor suffering Palestinian Arab Muslims.
Geographically speaking, Israel is a mere splinter up the ass of the vast Arab Muslim world.
There are three hundred million Arab Muslims who mostly wish for the extermination of five million Israeli Jews.
WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE DO THE FREAKING MATH!!?
RUN!!!!!!!!!! from that left-leaning church. I ran from the Methodist church years ago because they were embracing Communism and Communists. Sounds like this is the early warning system for your church!!!!!
Envy is an ugly business. Decent Christians eschew it.

Right on. I'm so sick of this Jewish Supremacist garbage. Does any Gentile really think about how atrociously arrogant the belief that the Jews are God's chosen is? That means anyone who is not a Jew (Gentiles) are not God's chosen ones. If the Gentiles are not God's chosen, what is their status? Soulless trash? Useful idiots?
There are more than twenty Arab countries who own most of the world's oil resources. If they wanted, they could resolve the Palestinian problem so they could live peacefully in a land that shares religion and culture.
In fact, Palestinians used to live in Jordan until they made themselves unwelcome and the King of Jordan kicked them out killing thousands of them in the process. If I remember correctly, Lebanon didn't benefit from their presence either.
I think it is pretty apparent which group is pressing for peace and which party pursues violence - even to the extent of indoctrinating small children and blowing themselves up. Maybe this "religion of peace" has a different definition of peace?
