I do not mean to say that King was a perfect man. Certainly not, and who among us is?
I think that he however was an inspiration to an entire generation(s) and the things that he spoke of and strived for have been corrupted by those who would continue to have black Americans living on plantations while never breaking their true bonds.
I find Jesse Jackson to be one of the most contemptable men of out generation, and many of the politicians currently in office share that distinction. That is just my opinion though.
