actually, it would be deadly against *oil tankers* which is
why it was probably built, an attempt to block the straits of
hormuz.

"What is this?"
I don't know - you tell me. As I said, I'm no expert; however, it does bear a remarkable resemblance to the waterborne version of one of those little cars in the circus from which emerge fifteen or twenty clowns all shooting seltzer bottles at one another.

Naw, it's just a washing machine, a large one for very dirty clothes.

What great deal the Russians and N.Koreans sold this sub to the Iranians for only 100 billion and two million barrels of crude, what a buy!
Besides all that it carries 6 .22 rifles fully loaded and 8 suicide bombers taped to one another.

Yes, no doubt the ejection of one water balloon would be adequately counteracted by the firing of one seltzer bottle.

"The Japs & the Nazi's both had small, suicide-subs. Think of this as an underwater version of what hit the USS Cole."
Exactly my thoughts as well. I also see Iran making suitcase or smaller nukes with their nuclear technology and not neccessarily the missile guided big ones....better for terrorism that way.

Naw, post #24 says it all!!

I hope our sonar guys don't wind up hurting their ears listening to the noise levels this thing is going to produce...
This thing looks pretty small, more like a research vessel than a weapons platform. Of course, it is big enough to pack with explosives or a nuclear weapon to send on a suicide mission. Kind of like a manned mine. Hmmmm...

A couple of jihadis and a good warhead, and a vehicle to deliver it.
Why build a full sized sub for that?
It would be a waste of crew and material. (Cuts down on the peak load demand for lots of 72 virgins, too. )
