Are you a feminist? A Democrat?
Well, "feminist" around here is used as a curse word. I am a feminist in that I believe women should be able to vote, hold professional jobs, have their own credit, and have the same rights and responsibilities as men. Around here, it seems to mean "man-hater", "lesbian", and other things I am not.
I am not a Democrat; I am primarily a fiscal/business conservative, and not a social conservative. I am not a Republican, either, since I live in Virginia and we do not have registration by party here. I think it would be beneficial if more states were like that!
