My understanding is yes, the dems will get a delay. However, I read somewhere here on Free Republic that Frist is saying that the minute the week of delay is up he wants a floor vote and will cancel all other business until such a vote takes place.
I say let the dems have their delay. It will do nothing for them. In fact, it will only enhance their obstructionist image and political nitpickiness nonsense with the public. The minute their alloted time is over, force the vote. If they still delay, submit the rule change on cloture and for once stop the minority party filibuster nonsense.
If the Republicans play their cards right, and give the dems just a little more rope, we could finally have the change we've all been waiting for for years.
Isn't it interesting that we have three acceptable candidates who bring good things to the table. Especially since the Democrats as Stuck on Pelosi. (I would have said stupid, but it's been overused and Pelosi is the same thing anyway.)

It's not really about the shows. It's about the brilliant commentary and follow up questions (that do not get asked) that is why this thread unfailingly is one of the top ones on FR.

Rule of thumb. Women who use two names are usually on the left. Conservative women who use both, usually do so if they have established a career that is helped by using their maiden name, but the conservative women I've known rarely do that.
