anita, that's exactly what came to my mind as well. A Wellstone moment. The next day, all the Democrats were really laying back too. I don't know but would be willing to bet their handlers pointed that out to them and told them to calm down. Then, the MSM tried to blame Mrs. Alito breaking out in tears on Lindsey Graham.
