FOR THE second year in a row...the population of Massachusetts has shrunk.

It was one of only three states to end the year with fewer people than it had at the start -- New York and Rhode Island were the others -- and the only one to do so for the second year running.

There are some beautiful areas in Western Mass. It's got some great Corvette roads.

Where are you thinking about heading?
We are on the North Shore and have had our house on the market for about 4 months. The market is only going to get worse. If you can, get your house ready and get it sold.

There is no evidence of the political leanings of the people who are moving out in this article. For all we know the liberals could be moving out to corrupt other states with liberal colonies.

That's what is happening to New Hampshire. People fleeing to NH from Massachusetts are still voting Democrat...they just don't get it.

And then they try to remake it into a Mini-Mass. Spoke with an old friend in N.H. the other day and he wants to go South in the next 4 to 5 years. Yes he is a Conservative Voter.

I'm not waiting that long...I am out of liberal NH in a few months...southbound.

Long Island women are the worst! Too spoiled and too high maintenance.

I do like going to Jones beach though.

We're up on the New Hampshire border, in Townsend. Houses seem to be moving better out here. We're looking at Albuquerque. We're outdoors people and can run and bike year round there. Good luck with your house. Where are you heading?

You're right - lots of liberal college kids in Boston. I have a friend who calls them matriculating fornicators - or maybe it's fornicating matriculators. LOL

Add me to the list. I'm going down to NC, Smokey Mts to buy some land and build me a new home. I can no longer tolerate seam sippers and rump pumpers being treated like rock stars, not to mention the disgraceful behavior of the 2 useless Senators.

Then stay away from Asheville...

Thanks. What about Hendersonville and the other surrounding towns, say within a 15 mile radius of Hendersonville?

LOVE Hendersonville...used to come "o'er the mountain" from Johnson City, TN to pick apples at all the orchards along the 'Bat Cave' corridor (Route 64). Very 'red' area, but Asheville itself is 'Berkeley, North Carolina'. Nice place to shop, dine, and so forth, but live there? If you like hippies, I guess. I am heading back to east Tennessee in a few months, and will head over the mountain frequently to shop, pick fruit, and hit the awesome Farmer's Market in Asheville, but downtown Asheville is a bit weird. (You want to see hippies? Check 'Earth Fare' on the west side of town...'cornrow' heaven.)

Ahhh, we are building a house in NC. We are in Peabody/ Salem/Danvers area. So far in the last two weeks, we have had 12 people come through. We have had an offer but it is about $10k too light and I have already dropped the price about $20k.
We are going to be outta here soon but after the cold hit the last few days, it can't be soon enough.

That bears repeating.....

Its the electoral college vote that counts, and Bush could not get NYs electoral votes - obviously due to NYC and its surrounding area.
