Sorry, but if other Freepers saw this, please take the time to go to FOXSports.com and give them some feedback.
After the Steelers-Colts game, the post-game show included a filmed skit with a guy impersonating George W. Bush, standing in front of the POTUS seal, doing "dumb stuff" remarks about the NFL play-offs.
Afterward, JB said something like "OH, Howie won't like that" (indicating Howie may be a Bush supporter). Howie said he just didn't think it was appropriate to take shots at the President, not to mention that it was a FOOTBALL show.
This deserves a large roar-back.
Also, thanks, Howie, for standing up for decency. And to FOX, SHUT UP AND DO FOOTBALL!

You could have pressed the mute button, changed the channel, walked out of the room, or put your hands over your ears while screaming, "La la la la la, I can't hear you!"
Simply put, you were not forced to watch that sixty seconds or so, and I am sure it has not harmed the Bush Presidency or threatened the Republic in any way.
We need to stop being offended at every little thing like this and save our outrage for more important matters.
Life is just too short to be consumed with what a comedian does on a meaningless pre-game show.

Exactly. I could care less if that guy wants to Bush is Dumb as A Rock impersonations 24/7 on trash shows, but this is SHUT UP AND DO FOOTBALL time, people. I don't need to be subjected to this stuff when I am tuning in to watch and hear about football.
Also, like having brainiacs like the Vichy Chicks opine of the President, I don't see where the dumb producers at FOX should feel free to use their sports platform to broadcast their political chuckles. Work for Letterman, if that's your gig.

If you don't see anything wrong with using a football show to make political comments (and comedy is commentary), regardless of the politician, I might add, then LOL you could have pressed the back button when you got on this thread, changed the URL, walked out of the room, or put your hands over your eyes while scrolling down.
I don't want to be at concerts and hear political commentary instead of music. I don't want to be watching football and hear political commentary instead of football analysis. But that's just me. If it's not you, move along. Nothing to see here.

Howie Long is a conservative republican. He said so last year on Bill Bennett's "Morning in America" show last year. I think Jimmy Johnson and Terry B may be both right leaning as well

I imagine the NFL crowd is about as liberal as the NASCAR crowd which makes you wonder what the response is going to be. Why do they think they need to bash the President??

Neither football or politics is for the thin-skinned. Stop whining and move along.
Sports reporters are so into the 'go along to get along' attitude that they will follow popular culture. Besides, few are actually educated enough (in general and on the issues) to make competent decisions.
