Did you catch the song lyrics? You've probably already arrived at this "executive decision," but imho those might go well with the context link to the thread, too.

Ya think Teddy would reply to this letter???

12/21/2005

Dear Senator Kennedy,

I wanted to take a few moments to write to you. I have been a resident of Boston Mass for approx. 4 years, but due to an employment change, I am moving to New York City.

My new employment will still include Boston, but for only 9 or so days out of the year.

My former employer was very disrespectful to me, forced me to live on a wage much lower than I thought I deserved, and refused to negotiate my further employment with him, so I sought employment elsewhere.

I have learned a lot from you as my senator these past four or so years, and am very sorry
that I will no longer be able to vote for you as my senator. Your example of loyalty, truthfulness, and fighting for what is right has greatly influenced my life. Your living example of how to conduct one’s self on a daily basis, was the inspiration for me standing up to my former evil employer, and deciding to work for a much less evil one.

I was shown much more respect while interviewing for my new position, and will be paid what I feel that I am worth for the extremely very difficult job I do. Even though I have to adjust to a few changes in my life because of changing jobs,( my new employer has stricter grooming rules) I will adapt.

I will also have to adapt to the slight change in attitude from my former employer’s customers who do not like my new employer, who is considered very tough and unfair competition. The feedback from my leaving my Boston employment, has left me with the decision to hire someone who will( for possibly the rest of my life) taste my food before I eat it , and start my car.

But it won’t get me down, because I have the memories of you, and your shining loyal example of just “doing what is right”.

I wanted to just write this to thank you Senator Kennedy. You may contact me at my new address listed below.

A horse’s ass, of course of course,
Is ordinarily in back, perforce.
Unless the horse is a Senate horse.
If so, of course, the back is front:
And that’s our Senator Ted.

By this redefinition of truth, a hoax is just an idea that may or may not grow into a true story, depending on the success of the teller. This means that as long as a story is being told, it stands a chance of becoming the truth. Thus, Sen. Kennedy stands by his Globe editorial; Dan Rather and Mary Mapes stand by their 60 Minutes report; John Kerry stands by his hallucinations; and Hillary Clinton stands by her man.

One time, a couple years ago or so, I ran across some liberals business website. He ran some sort of computer techie company something or other. On the very bottom of his main page, he had placed his personal political opinions. It was a handfull of anti-Bush screeds, quotes, etc. He also had some sort of disclaimer in which he said if you didn't like his left wing views, then tough. Among his anti-Bush items was the internet hoax: The Lovenstein Insitutute's IQ study of Presidents.

I wrote the guy a (nice) email. Pointing out to him that the Lovenstein Institute was a hoax and provided a link to snopes.com. The liberal emailed me back saying: "THAT and anything I can find against that &%##%$^. Why anyone would want to defend that $$#^&*^ is beyond me."

The gist of his email was that he didnt care that the Lovenstein Insitutute thing was a hoax. As long as it was anti-Bush, and as long as he believed that it would help take down Bush's polling numbers, then he was going to use it for political advantage. Truth be damned.

Many months passed, I ran across his email to me again, still in my inbox, and out of curiosity went back to his website. He had removed all and any mention of politics off of his website. I assume he came to realize that putting his left wing views and internet hoaxes on the main page of his website was bad for business.

I am surprised that he even came to the realization that it hurt his business, Most of the leftwingers are so blind in their hatred aganst the president that they don't see reality and hope you don't see it either

When the truth repeatedly contradicts someone's beliefs, that person basically has three options. One of these is to change his mind and accept the truth. Another is to reject the truth, and consciously become a liar. A third is to deny the objectivity of truth and perceive it as a social construct, so that those who prevail in society get to decide what the truth is.

The third method, of course, was popular with the Soviets and other communists.

You forgot: they also can lie as long as it is "for the children." Or for "the little guy." Or because they really, really, really care, much more than the rest of us do.
