Faouzia Hariche (38) is the acting mayor (or bourgmestre burgomaster, from the Dutch burgemeester) of Brussels, the capital of Belgium and of the European Union. Ms Hariche was born in Algeria in 1967. She moved to Belgium when she was seven years old. Though Brussels was historically a Dutch-speaking city and is also considered to be the capital of Flanders, the Dutch-speaking northern half of Belgium, the city was forcibly frenchified after the establishment of Belgium in 1830 by French radicals who used French-speaking Wallonia, Belgiums southern half, as a power base to conquer Flanders.
Since 1830 the Dutch character of Brussels has been deliberately eradicated, although the mayors of the city have usually been bilingual, speaking French as well as Dutch. Ms Hariche, who replaces Freddy Thielemans whilst he is on sick leave, is bilingual too, speaking French and Arabic but no Dutch.
This has upset many Flemings, who no longer feel at home in their own city with a mayor who does not speak their language. The Belgian regime has encouraged North African immigrants, who come from former French colonies, to apply for Belgian citizenship. This was done in a deliberate attempt to force the Flemings into an ever shrinking minority position in what used to be one of their most important towns.

But nowadays Brussels is a French-speaking city at 85% 90% (this rate increase in suburds years after years) . And it also considered to be the capital of Wallonia more logical.
Brussels is the second lergest French speaking city in Europe after Paris......
Is this another local manifestation of The Catholic Church's war on Christianity?
There is a huge Moroccan community in Brussels. This is not a surprise.

Thanks for the post. The Brussels Journal is a good source for information about the march of dhimmitude in Europe. Belgium is an artificial country and I look forward to the day when the Fleming (Dutch) population finally disassociate themselves from it.
Indeed, many parts of Brussels resemble Casablanca, Algiers, Cairo, or Baghdad. Sidewalk cafes full of Arab men. Not a woman is sight (all are at home recovering from the beatings their husbands have given them).
This is the first I've heard of the French conquering anything.
'...deliberately encouraging North African immigrants to apply for citizenship.' And have lots and lots of babies. Let's see, what else is in Brussels? The World Court, which Liberals think is the bees' knees.
They can take on the Belgians and win.
That being said, your comment makes me think of a Bugs Bunny epithet that rhymes with Walloon. I trust you've already put on your flame proof suit 'cause you're going to need it.
So much for "The Dog of Flanders".
(I've heard that Arabs don't like dogs, which supposedly explains why there
is only one recognized "breed" from the Middle East, the Canaan dog.)
I am not a Frenchman!
