The deconstructionists have totally destroyed the English department and are wrecking everything else, despite some noble efforts by moderates (i.e., liberals who are full-blown Communists).
The turning point came when Stanley Fish took over the English Dept. some years ago.
Even though Duke is supposed to be affiliated with the Methodist Church, the beautiful Duke Chapel was determine NOT to be chapel or part of the Methodist Church so that same sex weddings could occur there. I'm sure Washington and James Duke are turning in their graves to see their names besmirched by this rat hole.
P.S. I'm a graduate of this dreadful institution and am embarrassed to admit it.
