Ooops. Should read, "...you are into..." SAT
Such lush photos, Doughty One. How can anyone resist a cruise to paradise?
That pic of the flying "Jet Sky" gave me a good laugh.
BTW, jet skis and a lot of other water sports craft and equipment are available for nominal rental when we stop at Princess Cay for FBP-Day (Freeper Beach Party Day).
While swimming, you can see the brilliant little tropical fish in certain areas. I also hear the barbeque is simple, but totally excellent. Hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, etc. on the crackling barbie, with all the trimmings plus salads and an exceptional assortment of luscious fresh tropical fruits, all you can eat.
That's fer yo Mama!

I think thaqt there was a post that we will be staying at another location other than the Comfort Inn.
Staying there 2 years ago was very pleasant, especially the outdoor dining and the food was good.
Thanks for the information Dale. Some of our people will undoubtedly stay at other locations. For first-timers, the Comfort Inn is a pleasent resource. Bahama Mama will be placing some informtion on the thread shortly.
Bahama Mama just had some major computer problems. Be back in business in a couple of minutes.
We will be staying at the Comfort Inn which is near the cruise terminal. It's actually in Hollywood, which is a satellite town of Ft. Lauderdale.
The rate is around $72 plus tax for the night. This is a good rate - we paid over $100 a night in Miami before our FReeps Ahoy 3 voyage.
The Inn has a complimentary van service to pick you up at the airport, take you to the motel, and take you to the ship on Saturday AM. Again, the transportation shuttle service is gratis.
Details on where to find the Comfort Inn vans at the airport and when the shuttles go to and fro will be posted as soon as this info is available.
The Comfort Inn has a coffee maker, ironing board, hair dryer, safe and HBO. The photo above shows the pool and poolside Tiki Bar.
The Tiki is a nice meeting place for freepers as they come in at different times. It should be a warm, balmy evening in May. Head for the bar, boys! Have a big frosty tropical drink by the pool
A hot breakfast with omelet station the next morning is an additonal free perk, and a nice touch.
Phone Wanda if you want her to take care of your motel accomodations, air fare and cabin booking all in one deft maneuver. Then all your basic details are handled and you can sit back and relax till SAILING TIME!

One of our freepers won a jackpot on FReeps Ahoy 3. I forget who it was. Sometimes, a jackpot will pay for a good part of your cabin fare.
At any rate, I hope that FReeps Ahoy 4 will be a lucky number for us casino-wise.
P.S. There's bingo, too, for those whose arms tire easily. It's kinda fun playing bingo next to a picture window while you're gliding along the sea, a spicy Bloody Mary and a rabbit's foot and holy medal at your fingertips.
Bon chance!

I didn't quite get your post 487. Did you mean that you're staying at a different motel, or did you mean other freepers are staying at another motel, or what.....
I know Wanda's been making quite a few reservations for freepers at the Comfort Inn. Is she making them somewhere else also?
Also, reading your post again, was it the Comfort Inn where the outdoor dining and food was good, or was it at the other motel you stayed at last time? Don't know which you were referring to.
I'm gonna sic the grammar cops on you!
Leni
I thought I saw a post a couple of weeks ago that said that the comfort Inn was being switched to another motel.
I was kind of disapointed when I read it since the Comfort Inn was such a good location the last time.
If that's not the case, good.
I've been considering a trip to Hawaii but everywhere I want to stay is booked!
I'll be back to look this over in a week or so - heading on a trip for a funeral at present.
Our cruise contains the two most popular destinations in the Caribbean and the ship is probably filling up rapidly. The very same conditions that you have just found in fruitlessly trying to book in a good place in Hawaii apply to the cruise industry right now. A cruise ship is a hotel resort on water, after all.
Some people think Bahama Mama is just blowin' smoke when she urges folks to book right away. No way....she knows the whole vacation market is HOT right now (healthy economy, thanks President Bush) and she wants no freeper chillun left behind.

"Hello, Wanda?.....well, hello Wanda
It's so nice to meet and greet ya on the phone
I feel like hell, Wanda
I can tell, Wanda
Cabin fever's creepin.....havin' trouble sleepin'
Achin' bones are feeling Old Man Winter's pain
I need re-habin', Wanda
So book a cabin, Wanda
And I'll sail and feel so freepin' good a-gain!"
Bahama Mama
Bravo!
Bahama Mama
Leni, I just finished baking the Southern Whipping Cream Cake for the upteenth time. It is sooooo good.
Freepers the recipe is one that our Bahama Mama gave for the Clinton Legacy cookbook. The book is chucked full of recipes from the many freepers and our very own Carlo3b.
It is so generous of Chef Carlo to give some of the cookbooks for this freeper cruise.
