From an israeli viewpoint, bombing the Liberty might have been 'prudent.'

From a muslim viewpoint, the 9/11 attacks might have been prudent.'

From a russian viewpoint, trying to annex west berlin might have been prudent.

I can provide more examples of actions directly contrary to american interests where the aggressor might have found such action prudent.

what about an american viewpoint?

The Liberty was gathering intel and using it for what, to gain favor with Egypt?

I dunno but Israel did something, and the US government has kept pretty quiet about the matter.

Would it have been in the best interest of America to have had Israel wiped off the planet?

I honestly do not know what to believe on the matter.
