Seems to me bad behaviour guarentees re-election in that party. The only significant player form the DEMs to get the boot that I can recall is deeply saddened Daschal.

They are the minority in the House, the Senate, the State Governorships and are not in the White House.

Some states are beyond redemption such as Massachusetts and New York but those voters got what they deserve.

Democrats have progressively lost most state governorships, most state legislatures, the House, the Senate, and the Presidency.

And they insist upon doing more of the same (e.g. fighting mean and dirty, lying, backstabbing). Multiple left-wing editorials have insisted that the U.S. population must change...rather than have Democrats change.

...So they talk themselves out of more and more power.

Heck, they are so busy scandalizing and backstabbing and throwing mud that they haven't been able to propose a new policy idea.
