Isn't Phoenix dropping AA at the end of the month? Some libs report that the station isn't dropping AA until they find a new home for AA in Phoenix, but this may be just lib wishful thinking. Once AA goes away, hardly anybody wants it back, at least enough listeners to keep a station in business.

The local news is that a Christian broadcast group offered a price the current manager of 1010am couldn't refuse. The Err Amerika owner claims to be in the process of raising money (?) to get a new licenses and frequency to continue the non-sense. They continue to claim they were highly successful financially. I find that hard to believe. Also it is not known at this time what frequency they think they are gong to acquire, but the local LLL continues to blather on about how they will be on the air, and yes it appears the new frequency owner will let them stay until they find a new home. But when they had the old 1010 owner on the air right after the first of the year he told callers who were volunteering to send in $10 a piece that "money was not the issue, and that he had to find a freq". Now I heard he is rounding up financing - go figure. I think shortly they will all just go off into the night.
