So far, there are only two things we can count on with AQ: 1) they don't like to attack when damage will get minimal news coverage (i.e., weekends, night); and 2) even though 9/11 was kind of "out of the box" for these guys, so far they have been pretty enamored of bombs, not chem/bio/dirty bombs or other exotic types of attacks . . . unless you throw in the anthrax stuff, which has never been figured out.
What would we do without experts?
I think they're correct. The major attacks have definitely seemed to follow pretty closely after those videos.
Since 9-11 al-Queda has used car/van/truck bombs almost exclusively with the very important exception of Madrid which were backpack bombs.
It's never been a question of IF but WHEN.
Oops, almost forgot, the DeMARXocrats are hoping for another 9/11 or something that is even biggers or they would stop all their Anti-American comments and start sticking it to terrorists.

And one of those cases, the stuff sent to American
Media, Inc. in Boca Raton FL, publisher of the
goofy National Enquirer, was particularly odd.
It was almost as if some zealot was instructed to
"attack the American media", and took the orders a
bit too literally.

According to an ABC News report, federal agents are investigating a sudden spike in the sale of unregistered disposable cell phones. In Midland, an alert Wal-Mart employee contacted federal agents after six individuals of apparent Middle East origin tried to purchase sixty cell phones in one transaction. At least one of the suspects was identified as being from Iraq and another from Pakistan, officials said.
On New Year's Eve, a customer of evident Middle East origin bought 150 disposable 'trac-phones' from a Target Store. Trac-phones are disposable telephones with prepaid minutes already attached.
Other reports have come in from other cities, including Dallas, and from authorities in other states. Authorities in Pennsylvania, New York and other parts of Texas confirmed that they were alerted to the cases, and sources say other jurisdictions were also notified.
The Midland, Texas, arrest report police also identified the individuals as linked to a terror cell:
"Evasive responses provided by the subjects, coupled with actions observed by officers at the onset of the contact prompted the notification of local FBI officials to assist in the investigation," the report said.
"Upon the arrival of special agents, and as a result of subsequent interviews, it was discovered that members of the group were linked to suspected terrorist cells stationed within the Metroplex.
"In addition," says ABC, "special agents reported that similar incidents centering on the large-scale purchases of trac phones had been reported throughout the nation — identifying individuals of Middle-Eastern descent as the purchasers."
Although true, that seems like an incredibly foolish strategy. Another 9-11 will strengthen our resolve, solidify the country, and highlight the democrats' weaknesses.
Yeah, you know that might well have been a "single-cell" guy who acted more or less on his own, and threatened to blow the cover of a larger organization, and was "dealt with" by the AQ boys.
My point, though, is that regardless of the delivery mechanism, they still (so far) seem only comfortable with traditional explosives. Again, 9/11 was way outside the box for them.

I think so too. I wonder if Iran's bellicose manner is related to this? What do they know?

Another attack, just great. Congress can hold simultaneous hearings. In one room will be hearings as to why Dr. Evil, uhhh, I mean President Bush was wiretapping calls originating from foreign soil. In the other room they can have hearings on why Bush wasn't more aggressively wiretapping calls originating from foreign soil.
Bush is Dr. Evil-- I like that. :)
