The saying was that Governor Isham Harris seceded and took Tennessee with him. Then the government of Tennessee took up arms against their own citizens who wished to remain loyal to the old Union flag of Washington and Jackson.

And that 25% is a foundation for heritage. Jones County, MS was "The Free State of Jones" during the Civil War. While these are interesting footnotes to history, they really have no bearing on the topic at hand.

How many dorks ran around wearing Union Jacks in the '80's? Nobody banned that and I KNOW those morons weren't British.
