Not to make light of this Marines death but in the Navy we called it the not getting caught medal.
When I received mine everyone started laughing.
We called it the medal for four years of undetected crime.
When I was on active duty they gave them out every four years, now I heard they changed it to three.
You making jokes about the death of this Marine? You have no idea.... The Navy and the Corps are two differant branches. How dare you compare the Navy to the Marines. What the heck do you mean when you say "In the Navy we call it the not getting caught medal?" FYI this Marine is a very close friend of my family. He lived with us for years as we were growing up and is considered a brother to me. This person or people that did this to him WILL get caught and may they rot in hell. And how dare you say what you said and shame on you. You have no clue the pain we are going through. Suggestion......watch what you say because there are people who are suffering from your comment that was made with insensitivity and stupidity.
