If there ever is a coordinated "FINAL" war between US and THEM, WE BETTER fight that "FINAL" war the way we fought WWII.

First it must be a DECLARED WAR by CONGRESS!!

Then we must KILL ALL of THEM with the least amount of regard to civilian casualties, and we must destroy everything they own, hide in, live in and WORSHIP in.

It must be total annihilation of our enemy and our enemy's capacity to wage war!!!

I doubt that half the Muslims would join us because this is a war about religion, and they are Muslims not Christians or Jews.

Let's hope our officials have the guts to do what is needed.

I think Bush does. But, do the American people? Or, are they listening to the treasonous lies of the Leftists?

Power means alot in geo-politics, that I can assure you. Siding with the Iranians is suicide. They may not like us, but most aren't stupid and most aren't signing up for suicide either.

This Administration is scared to react because of the publics view of Iraq and their pitiful PR to the WMD mess.

Well, he gets it, at least. There are plenty of "smart" people out there who refuse to accept what this Iranian boob owns freely..

The American public does not understand greatly due to POOR PR from the Bush Administration that these people from birth are taught to hate us.They want to kill us all! It's simply a manner of survival,it's we die or they die. There is no in between.

Iran’s president sees “final war” between Muslims, West

So instead of being a "real leader"and preventing this from happening,he's trying to make damn sure it happens. This bum is a Jim Jones waiting to happen.

If nukes are deployed, as this wing-nut seems to want, the "final war" will be over quick.

If nukes are deployed, what targets will they be deployed against?

By far the most likely target is Israel. Jerusalem is only "holy" to Islam as a trophy, having been siezed from the Christian kingdoms that held it prior to Islam's bloody wars of conquest. It is more important to them to deny it to Christians and, particularly, to Jews, as those are God's people and Muslims serve a different master.

So, how long would it take to wipe Jerusalem off the map if they only have one bomb? Flight time for one of the missles from Iran to Jersusalem is probably under 15 minutes.

Then what? And what if they have more than one? Ahmadinejad has said he wants Israel wiped off the map. How many bombs would it take to effectively make the entire territory uninhabitable?

Or, the obvious alternative targets are our forces or our economic interests in that part of the world. We can't reasonably expect to stop them from launching a successful surprise attack against our forces in Iraq with a missle, or against one of our carrier groups in the Gulf with either a missle or with a simple nuclear equipped mine anchored to the bottom of the gulf.

Clearly we would respond, but how? Nuke Tehran? How many millions of innocent people are there who are as opposed to these madmen as we are? How many are MORE opposed but don't have the means to fight back? I know some, personally, and if we've paid attention to the blogs coming from there we know there are many. And if we do nuke the Mullahs, what will be the worlds reaction to us?

This may be the most perilous time in human history. I've felt for some time that the Bush/Powell/Rice doctrine that has guided our activities in the war on terror has had, as its primary goal, avoiding an all out war between the west and the Islamic world. I believe that Iraq was viewed as the key log, the piece that if removed from the playing field would fundamentally change the balance away from confrontation and to a reasonable hope of progress. I think it's working and I think that Al Qaeda and the other radicals, including the Iranian Mullahs, see that too. And that's why I think they are going to do this thing. Why they can't allow us to succeed, even if it means their own personal destruction.

But there are other possible consequences to a nuke attack on either Israel or western forces or interests. It might tip the very unstable "western street" over to out of control rage directed at all Muslims, everywhere. How many mosques might be burned or blown up if Jerusalem is nuked by Iran? How many Muslims, or just "muslim looking people," will be dragged down and beaten to death by outraged people? So far all of the madness has been on their part and the rest of the world has cowered and let them get away with it. What happens if the west decides that it really is a fight to the death?

That's the point, this administration has to tell it like it is.I recently watched a discovery channel show they asked an eight year old if he could ask for anything what would it be? He answered that all American die!

If the initial withdrawls of the Israelis were "greatly detrimental to Muslims", who is to say that any hypothetical withdrawl from the whole of "Palestine" wouldn't be even worse?

The Palestinians have proved, conclusively, that they are incompetent to run their own state. Until such a situation improves, I really don't see how adding to "Palestinian" power is going to help anyone, even the people it allegedly frees.

They were freer under the Israelis!

The fact that one can get in the mind set to blow himself up for a cause, is interesting enough, but for a leader of a country to do it is Twilight Zone material.

Anyone who believes Muslims, ALL Muslims, aren't their enemy, are deluded.

Some are. Most aren't. In Iraq for example, if the terrorists enjoyed majority support of the population, we'd have to be extremely ruthless to suppress it. As it is, we get a handful of daily attacks, some successful-most not, and we are routing the sucmbags with the assistance of the Iraq soldiers and just as importantly, the citizens are ratting them out.

In Turkey, despite having an Islamist party in power, you and I could safely walk the streets of that country and thousands of americans live there.

In America, despite the definite existence of sleeper cells, the vast majority of muslims are here peacefully, and have every intention of remaining so. the celebrations by the local Iraqi populations in the Seattle are when Saddam was captured was fantastic.

The Kurds, also muslims, love the USA.

the Iranian people, by and large, are the most pro-american muslims in the ME and will celebrate wildly when the stinking mullahs are hung from lamp posts.

Sorry...but that is no excuse to allow a lunatic blow up the world.

My brain absolutely cannot process the thought of Pres Bush letting what some people think prevent him from taking out a lunatic who he knows for sure will use nukes if said lunatic is given enough time to develop them. It makes no sense to me.....then again, politics makes no sense to me either.

Sigh

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/01/20020129-11.html

President Delivers State of the Union Address (2002)

Our second goal is to prevent regimes that sponsor terror from threatening America or our friends and allies with weapons of mass destruction. Some of these regimes have been pretty quiet since September the 11th. But we know their true nature. North Korea is a regime arming with missiles and weapons of mass destruction, while starving its citizens.

Iran aggressively pursues these weapons and exports terror, while an unelected few repress the Iranian people's hope for freedom.

Iraq continues to flaunt its hostility toward America and to support terror. The Iraqi regime has plotted to develop anthrax, and nerve gas, and nuclear weapons for over a decade. This is a regime that has already used poison gas to murder thousands of its own citizens -- leaving the bodies of mothers huddled over their dead children. This is a regime that agreed to international inspections -- then kicked out the inspectors. This is a regime that has something to hide from the civilized world.

States like these, and their terrorist allies, constitute an axis of evil, arming to threaten the peace of the world. By seeking weapons of mass destruction, these regimes pose a grave and growing danger. They could provide these arms to terrorists, giving them the means to match their hatred. They could attack our allies or attempt to blackmail the United States. In any of these cases, the price of indifference would be catastrophic.

We will work closely with our coalition to deny terrorists and their state sponsors the materials, technology, and expertise to make and deliver weapons of mass destruction. We will develop and deploy effective missile defenses to protect America and our allies from sudden attack. (Applause.) And all nations should know: America will do what is necessary to ensure our nation's security.

We'll be deliberate, yet time is not on our side. I will not wait on events, while dangers gather. I will not stand by, as peril draws closer and closer. The United States of America will not permit the world's most dangerous regimes to threaten us with the world's most destructive weapons. (Applause.)

Our war on terror is well begun, but it is only begun. This campaign may not be finished on our watch -- yet it must be and it will be waged on our watch.

We can't stop short. If we stop now -- leaving terror camps intact and terror states unchecked -- our sense of security would be false and temporary. History has called America and our allies to action, and it is both our responsibility and our privilege to fight freedom's fight. (Applause.)
